First thing to do is plan your flight. With this, the earlier you plan and purchase your tickets, the better. During peak flying times flights will book up quickly, as well as accommodations at your vacation site. If possible, look for a flight that leaves midday or in the evening and during the week. Those times of day tend to be less crowded at the airport than weekends, early morning, and afternoons. It is also helpful to print up a list of other flights leaving the airport that same day, in case you are delayed and miss a connection.

Next thing to do is to get ready for the airport. When packing your bags, keep in mind that you will be going through airport security. But it’s best to avoid having your own story to tell. It’s best to pass through unassumingly, with not much to say afterwards. Here’s how to do it.
